Los Angles Rams at Seattle Seahawks: best/worst overreactions

Best Overreaction:Robert Woods proved that his contract is a steal as he filled in as slot receiverWhen WR Cooper Kupp went out of the game due to a concussion Womens Dominique Easley Jersey , the Los Angeles Rams were already short at receiver with WR Brandin Cooks already out due to his nasty collision at the end of the second half. Rather than just stay at his position as a wideout, Woods stepped in and did his best Cooper Kupp impression, nailing inside routes like it was no big deal. Mr. Woods has always been known as an excellent route runner, but his performance on Sunday proved that he’s much more valuable than his contract suggests (which was considered to be a reach at the time!)Worst Overreaction:S Tedric Thompson should have been ejected for the Brandin Cooks hit Complaining about the refs is an age old tradition for football fans, but it’s usually saved for when their team loses. In this case, it was in defense for the LA Rams’ star wideout, Brandin’ Cooks, who missed the second half due to this play. I don’t think Thompson’s hit was dirty, it’s just that his speed going into the tackle made the collision violent and unfortunate for our player. There were several brutal hits during the game (and every game played on Sunday), but just because it led to Cooks lying unconscious for a moment http://www.ramsfootballauthentics.com/r … -authentic , doesn’t mean Tedric Thompson is to blame.LA Rams - Minnesota Vikings: Five Rams to watch It’s fair to ask what the NFL schedule-makers were smoking when they sat down and planned the Thursday Night Football matchups. Sure, it’s only week four, but you’re squaring off two of last year’s top three NFC seeds on a short week. Shouldn’t this have been the Sunday night game in, say, week 13?To make matters worse, our beloved Rams are banged up and will need to shore up some units to hang with the Vikings. While the jury is still out on Minnesota after an embarrassing home loss to the Bills, here are five Rams who will need to step up to preserve our unblemished record.Samson EbukamAfter a strong debut at Oakland, Ebukam has registered just two tackles combined in the last two games. Yes, one was a sack, and we’ll need to see a few more on Sunday if Rams fans are to forget about Robert Quinn anytime soon. The interior pass rush was strong against the Chargers Youth Andrew Whitworth Jersey , but only got home once. Some pressure off the edge will both make life easier in the trenches and assist our depleted secondary. If Samson is due a coming out party, this would be the week to shine.Sam ShieldsSigned as an insurance policy during the offseason, the former Pro Bowler with a history of concussions will need to cover the deductible — and either Stefon Diggs or Adam Thielen — on Thursday. He’s flashed: an INT in the preseason and one against Arizona showed his opportunsitic play in a zone. But on an island? Let’s see what you’ve got, Sam. Whispers that Shields is a liability against the run linger, but, I’d just as soon see him keep his head on a swivel (and on his shoulders) this week.Troy HillIt remains to be seen how dumpster fire/emerging talent/rollercoaster Troy Hill will be deployed on Thursday. Towards the end of last season, he had a few games where he was rated above Trumaine Johnson and looked like a guy the Rams had coached up to borderline starter level. However, during the preseason, he reverted to bad penalties andmissed tackles. If the Rams slide Nickell Robey-Coleman to the outside, look for Hill to pick up some slot duties. No matter how he’s used Womens Rodger Saffold Jersey , he’ll need to play better than he’s looked thus far, or the Rams could be in for a long day. (Side note: LaMarcus Joyner is likely to also chip in at CB, which could lower Hill’s snap count)Jared GoffIt goes without saying, but coming off his best game as a pro, Jared Goff will need to stay sharp for the Rams to win on Thursday. Despite the absence of Everson Griffen, Minnesota brings a talented defense to the Coliseum, and they’ll be looking for blood (whether or not you believe the “they’ll be pissed off” narrative is another matter altogether — my theory on TNF games is more like “the road team will arrive at the opposing team’s stadium with a full roster.”) Against the Chargers, Goff was magnificent — accurate, decisive, and bold — and he’ll need to attack the Vikings’ secondary with the same verve and savvy he displayed on Sunday. Can he go for 350+ again and carry the Rams’ D? He may need to.Aaron DonaldAnother guy who could easily be here every week http://www.ramsfootballauthentics.com/t … -authentic , Donald’s impact Thursday night is perhaps more important than ever. He’s getting pressure, rag-dolling linemen, and generally wreaking havoc, but against Minnesota’s porous offensive line, a breakout game in the sack department (did someone say strip sack?!) would be very timely. It’s not like the Rams are giving teams much time — Carr and Bradford checked down all day, and Rivers simply made some plays — but a few drive-killing sacks or turnovers would sure help a guy like Troy Hill (who, it must be noted, played his college ball at Oregon -cough cough-). I’m not at all concerned about Donald’s statistics, but big time players step up when the chips are down and I expect him to tomorrow night.

So I think it’s important for everybody to respect his privacy and let him deal with it for the next few days.”Practice was delayed 20 minutes Friday as coach Bruce Cassidy met with team leaders Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron.“I’m not going into any details, It’s a personal issue,” Bergeron said. “Right here we’re behind him and supporting him 100 percent. All I can say is that he’s a great friend and we’re all here for him.”Jalak, chased from Thursday’s night, is likely to start both weekend games, with coach Bruce Cassidy confirming Halak will play Saturday against the dangerous Leafs.Speaking of Toronto, Fredrik Andersen played for the Leafs in a home game against the New Jersey Devils on Friday night, making 38 saves in a 6-1 win on Hall of Fame Night. . Sullivan was examined for a concussion, and Saffold hurt his ankle. The Rams (11-2) are still in position to secure a first-round playoff bye. Getting home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs is still a possibility, but the Rams would need the New Orleans Saints to lose another game. The Saints (11-2) hold the tiebreaker because of the Rams’ 45-35 loss at New Orleans in Week 9.McVay said there is no added emphasis on hosting the NFC championship game.“We know that what’s important for us is to even have those conversations and for that to be a potential possibility for us, we’ve got to go take care with what we can control and that’s getting ready for the Philadelphia Eagles and the defending world champs right now,” McVay said. “And that’s exactly what we’re doing.”NOTES: CB Dominique Hatfield is out for the season and will need surgery to repair an ankle injury he sustained against Chicago. … OLB Trevon Young will be signed to the active roster off the practice squad, McVay said.
