It was reported last month that Nba 2k22 Mt the hashtag #givetheirmoneyback. Gamers claimed that a prominent player in the community @StepBackRack (who boasts 3,600 Twitch followers and is known commonly as "Rack") took hundreds of thousands of dollars from Australian as well as New Zealand community, in what is believed to be an investment scam. There's been rumors that another gamer known as @Raangee was involved in the scam.
Tyceno YouTuber and streamer was the first to uncover the fraud. He convinced young gamers to offer them hundreds of dollars for the promise of making thousands more. Tyceno wrote "I have good reasons to believe that @StepBackRack had been the culprit behind the massive pyramid scheme, which was illegal which took place within the NBA 2K Community. more than $200,000 was snatched from vulnerable children believing they could "flip their cash'."
It's not certain if Rack or Raangee knew of the scam or whether their accounts were compromised. We've tried to reach the two of them multiple times but and have had no luck.
Tyceno and other suspected victims talked to us about how "Rack" made contact via voice chat to a range of young gamers. (NBA 2K's terms of services prohibit using the service for illegal purposes, commercial reasons, or to wager money with other individuals. 2K, the publisher of NBA 2K, has not replied to numerous requests for comments.
Tyceno claimed Rack demanded large amounts of cash from gamers, promising them unusually high returns up to 40 percent. "I suffered a loss of $6000, and was supposed to get $11,000 in compensation for the "interest" which was supposed to be paying," one alleged victim aged 21 shared with us. "The scam started by a dude named Rack posting hundreds of thousand dollars bets. He was also trying to mt for sale 2k22 boast about how much money he had."
