Adidas Superstar White/Red/Gold Metallic

Following its most recent Adidas Shoes New appearances that saw through to wild cheetah graphics, and jellied outsoles, the adidas Superstar is piling on its 50th anniversary library with a new option that possibly nods to what have been the Tokyo Olympics this Summer. From a bird’s eye view, these my seem like an ordinary neutral-toned makeover, but up-close you’ll notice that the trim along the stripes alternates between a red, black, and blue, while splashes of green wrap around the heel, and yellows land on the tongue to mimic that colors of the iconic Olympics rings logo. adidas’ standard “Footwear White” tone wraps the base layers and outsoles, while the heel counter contrasts in “Core Black”; giving way for the aforementioned accents to be the highlighting feature of the shoe.

The Adidas Shoes Green has been experimenting with a number of decorations as some of its latest variations have popped up with cheetah patterns, Olympic rings logo-inspired trim, and even patchwork paneling for its impending collaborations with Pharrell. Each member is tonally executed from top to bottom; deviating solely through its white accents of adidas branding place over its footbeds and tongues. The set includes four Summer-appropriate colorways including solar yellow, purple tint, solar pink, and vapour pink.

The Adidas Shoes Women is yet another iteration of the timeless model in celebration of its 50th anniversary. Clean and luxurious, the low-top flaunts an official mix of “Clear Brown/Footwear White-Gold Metallic.” Composed of tumbled leather, Clear Brown covers its majority while white Three Stripes on the sides, heel, shell toe and rubber sole provide a solid contrast. Finally, the slight luxe touch is added via gold branding to top it off.

Giving off a patchwork-style vibe with its multi-piece, multi-color knit upper, Pharrell’s latest arrives in both Adidas Superstar White/Red/Gold Metallic and “Cloud White/Bold Gold” colorways. Each offers a base hue and contrasting heel piece inspired by the Superstar’s famous black/white and black/white colorways, then dashes down a divergent path of patchwork palettes and textures.
