Patriots-Packers: Brad Allen.Jarrett Bell (USA Today) NFL’s officiating problems have quieted down, but some issues remain. After skipping much of the early season, the New England Patriots are once again providing practice players of the week after victories. The team announced five practice players of the week from the team’s 25-6 win over the Buffalo Bills.Linebacker Calvin Munson likely practiced as the Bills linebacker combo of Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds, a surprisingly good duo tasked with covering James White out of the backfield and Julian Edelman in the middle of the field. Both White and Edelman had strong days.Defensive end Derek Rivers likely practiced as a combination of Bills pass rushers Lorenzo Alexander and Jerry Hughes. While LaAdrian Waddle wasn’t perfect, Trent Brown had a strong day on the left side.Defensive back David Jones was probably the combination of Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, the Bills safety duo that have a knack for forcing turnovers. The Patriots didn’t turn the ball over for the first time all year.Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson won for the second-straight week and probably had a full plate at practice with so many injuries at running back. I wouldn’t be surprised if he helped practice as LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory and got credit for learning how to play running back for an entire game. Major props to Patterson.Offensive lineman Ted Karras likely helped out as the Bills interior linemen; the Patriots run defense absolutely stuffed Buffalo’s run game and Karras was likely the guinea pig at practice.—Week 1: DL Trent Harris, OL James Ferentz Youth Joe Thuney Jersey , DB Keion Crossen, DL Geneo Grissom, DL Deatrich Wise Jr., DB J.C. Jackson.Week 7: RB Kenneth Farrow, WR Cordarrelle Patterson, OL James Ferentz, DB Nate Ebner, DL Frank Herron.
